We purchased this Bernard Homer, Jr. fetish necklace from him about 7 years ago. He carved each of the badgers from cameo shell and there are a total of 25 of them. Their eyes are all inlaid of jet and they range in size from 2 1/8" - 1 7/8" long.
Bernard's aunt, Sarah Leekya, strung this necklace using turquoise and red coral heishe. It has sterling silver cones and an extender chain. The overall end-to-end length is 35" (including the 4 1/2" extender chain) with a drop of 15 1/2". This is a very substantial necklace and it would likely overpower a petite person. We'd suggest it for display or wearing on special occasions only. The colors of the shell are exquisite and each carving represents Bernard's talent beautifully. Unsigned.
