This beautiful fossil ivory eagle dancer was carved by Derrick Kaamasee and purchased in Zuni in 1999. It is extremely detailed with the head-dress, ruff of feathers about the neck, kilt and moccasins. He even wears a necklace that hangs awa from the naked torso of the dancer. The "wings" are very detailed and realistic. Just a beautiful, symbolic piece of Zuni art-to-wear!
The eagle dancer hangs from a hand-made Hopi sterling silver chain. The chain measures 18" long and the pendant is just over 2" tall. Unsigned but very special.
