Dolomite is like a cousin to travertine. Dave is the rock guy - and he's explained it to me before. It has
something to do with waterfalls .. but the thing I like best about dolomite is that it comes in Easter colors. It
can be pink, yellow, beige and all shades in between. It can also be a deep, earthy adobe red. Sometimes it
has dendrites in it. Dendrites are these little ferny-looking inclusions that are made of something other than
dolomite. Fascinating, huh? Anyway .. this Emery bear is made of dolomite and it has a natural band of color
that runs thru the right eye, down the bank and across the left rump. The rest of the bear is swirly, happy, pink.
Kind of like a strawberry shake. A bit larger than most Emery bears, this guy has turquoise eyes and offering.
