This is a nice, true blue turquoise bear (represents the Western direction) carved by the ever-popular Emery Eriacho. It measures about 1.5" long and has jet inlaid eyes. The small "arrowhead" offering is made of apple coral and tied on with turquoise, coral and heishe beads.

Emery carves his friendly bears from virtually any material he can get his hands on. They vary only slightly in size, shape and posture and the quality of his work is always high. Because his work is so visually appealing (and affordable) it is rare to find a Zuni collection without at least a handful of Emery bears! Unsigned.
