This chunky snakeskin serpentine frog was carved by Delvin Leekya. Delvin is the grandson of Leekya Deyuse (d.), son of Francis Leekya (d.) and brother to Hayes and Freddie. He carves a variety of fetishes but is probably best known for his bears and wolves.

This frog has big pearly peepers inlaid with Mother of Pearl and turquoise. He also has tiny inlays of turquoise over his front and back legs and wears an offering of abalone and turquoise.

Frog are associated with water and what it means to life in such an arid environment as Zuni. Signed.
