This precious turtle is made of copper complex and carved by Jayne Quam. Copper complex is generally found where turquoise and copper are mined. It's a composite of (generally speaking and in varying degrees) azurite, malachite, turquoise, tenorite and chrysocolla. This is a particularly nice specimen - it has nice vein of azurite (blue) and lots of tenorite (black).

And here you get THREE turtles for the price of one! Mama turtle has two tiny babies inlaid on her back of melon shell, turquoise and red coral. The eyes of the mama turtle are inlaid of turquoise, too. Very sweet and signed.
