Feeling blue? This sodalite fellow by Emery Eriacho is as blue as they come. We don't see sodalite often so it's a treat when it
makes an appearance. Azurite (here's one!) and lapis are beautiful
blues as well -- but sodalite is certainly among our favorite blue stones. This specimen lacks the black inclusions but it does have
just a ribbon of white veining that runs across the bear's face. Emery has gifted the bear with turquoise eyes and offering.
Emery has a true eye for colors and stones. He's fastidious about his work and, though he carves a lot of fetishes, each one is
lovingly finished and priced for even the novice collector. There is one thing about an Emery bear - you can't collect just one - or
even half a dozen. Despite their similar shape and style, the personality and power of the bear is influenced by the stone it is
carved from. So go ahead -- add another one to your collection! You can never have too many Emery bears! Unsigned.
BEAR: The bear represents the western direction in a protective and healing fetish set. He is associated with the color blue and known for his curative powers. Though all bears are healers, white bears are particularly powerful. Characteristics associated with bears include strength, courage, adaptability, healing and spiritual communion.
