The husband and wife team of Vernon Lunasee and Prudencia Quam carve some of the most delicate faces we've ever seen. We have a host of their lions, badgers and bear (oh my!) in our collection. This handsome little sitting bear is carved from a beautiful piece of banded dolomite. Dolomite is formed from limestone that's been under pressure. It comes in a variety of shades from yellow to pink to red. Dolomite can be banded (like this specimen) or all one color or blends of several in mottled shades.

This little bear would be a nice, quiet companion to rest on your keyboard, like he is on mine right now. He has big blue eyes and an awfully sweet face. He's signed ... and was originally sold by a traveling trader who sold at gem and mineral shows, called Terra Firma in 2001. They are no longer in business.

BEAR: The bear represents the western direction in a protective and healing fetish set. He is associated with the color blue and known for his curative powers. Though all bears are healers, white bears are particularly powerful. Characteristics associated with bears include strength, courage, adaptability, healing and spiritual communion.
