Carol's horses rarely stay in the Zuni Spirits corral for long. And this one is spectacular. Not only is it beautifully carved with a nicer-than-usual finish, the stone (according to stone-guru Dave) is milky quartz with gold pyrite veining. Yes, there's GOLD in them thar hills ... even if it is PYRITE and you can have some for your very own. Carol has inlaid the eyes of jet and etched the mane and tail of the pony perfectly. A tiny treasure from Zuni-land and Mother Earth - what a combo!

HORSE:: Horses are not a traditional animal of the Zuni but they carve them (and probably have for generations) for other tribes and for herd protection. Characteristics associated with horses are power and achieving one's potential.
