We have long been big fans of Lynn Quam's work so we especially appreciate a powerful bison carving like this one. Lynn has used an unusually beautiful specimen of augite serpentine to carve the bison from. It looks a little like chrysocolla but with less aqua blue - a really nice stone! And, as usual, Lynn's "less is more" minimalistic style of carving is most attractive. He's inlaid the bison's horns with fossil ivory and the eyes are inlaid of turquoise. An exceptional piece and not so large that it will overpower your herd.
