Claudia is from the Haloo family of carvers - half-brothers Troy and Gabe Sice, cousins Craig and Tonia Haloo, uncle Ramie Haloo and sister Claudine, and of course grandfather George Haloo Cheechee (d.) are among them. Her brother Colvin Peina (d.) has always been one of my favorite carvers, especially when he carved in fossil ivory.

It has been said that medicine bears are good for healing and that white bears are better than an aspirin for a headache. We have an alabaster Saul Yuselew bear for just that purpose! Most of Claudia's bears are made from antler but this one is Colorado white marble, somewhat a rarity! Perhaps you could use this bear for your headaches. There are plenty of those to go around these days! The eyes are inlaid of jet and the simple offering bundle is red coral flanked by two turquoise beads. This inquisitive "Aspirin Bear of the East" will help complete your healing set!
