While we were visiting the home of Sarah Leekya on a buying trip some years ago we were fortunate to meet some of her extended family. Sarah lives in her father's house (Leekya Deyuse -d.) and, at the time, her elder sister, Elizabeth and her three daughters also resided there. Elizabeth was in her eighties but still an active beader. She produced Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clauses, Easter bunnies, Comanche Chiefs, Navajo ladies, Zuni dance matrons and Zuni angels for decorating Christmas trees. She even beaded round Christmas balls and bells for our personal tree one year.

This duo is beaded with purple overalls and traditional dress, and each has a leather thongs for hanging. Here is your chance to have one of the few remaining Easter bunny pairs left in inventory. A truly rare piece of Zuni traditional beadwork.
