Michael Weahkee is the son of Anderson, brother of Dinah Gasper and Lena Boone. He carves similar to the style of his auntie, Lena Boone, and his fetishes are ultra-traditional in form and execution.

Michael has used a specimen of onyx-travertine with vivid and dramatic color and crystallization to render this bear fetish. The eyes are inlaid of turquoise and the bear is gifted with the standard offering of (Mother of Pearl) arrowhead and turquoise nuggets with the thinnest sliver of red branch coral. Quite beautiful, colorful and symbolic.
