Of course we love it when a carver known for a specific animal or type of carving takes that and puts a spin on it. Carol has been carving her horses for more than a decade. Singles became doubles, mares with foals, herds of four or more .. and now this! A circle of horses. Anyone who has been around horses knows they will stand in just such a formation to flick their tail and "shoo" the flies for their neighborl. Talk about group cooperation!

This trio is carved of chocolate serpentine (also known as "fish rock" for it's sticky feel) and their blazes (and one handprint) is painted on. The eyes of all three are inlaid of turquoise. Familar .. yet innovative! Signed.
