S O L D

I can't imagine that anyone who knows what a Zuni fetish is would not know who Wilfred Cheama is, but here goes, just in case: Wilfred is just one of the (many!) talented Cheama siblings. He's married to Annette Zunie Cheama who is the sister of Karen Zunie (formerly married to Lance Cheama.) And he's known primarily for his bobcat and mountain lion carvings which he carves to beautiful perfection.

This serpentine (ricolite) bobcat is small, measuring less than 2" long, but it's fully etched and carved in a realistic, animated posture. The eyes are inlaid of turquoise and the bobcat is signed. Just an adorable, smaller version of the Wilfred bobcat we've all come to know and love.

If you would like to read more about the Bobcat's characteristics and attributes click here. And click here to hear "Bobcat" in Shiwi, the language of Zuni.
