The dramatic colors in this specimen of Picasso marble only accentuates the sharp angles and alert posture of this small bear by Burt Awelagte. Burt is the nephew of Gibbs Othole and his mother, Rena, was one of the first people we met years ago in Zuni. In fact, it was Rena who introduced us to Burt.

We've not only enjoyed knowing them over the years .. we have enjoyed watching Burt's talent and style develop and evolve. This little bear is quite representative of his work: traditional and well crafted. Signed.
