This badger was carved by Leland Boone of azurite. It's more matrix, though, than azurite with the only color being in thin veins throughout the stone. Somehow, less is more, and this is a really nice carving.

Leland and his family (Mom, Lena and sister, Evalena) continue to make their carvings in a very traditional style. And each of their carving styles looks 'related' but there are individual nuances to distinguish their work from one another. Leland has gifted this badger with a pink shell arrowhead tied on in the usual fashion with turquoise and red coral. The eyes of the badger are inlaid of red coral. Unsigned.
