This friendly fellow looks as if he could "ribbit" any any moment! He's carved from green serpentine by Derrick Kaamasee who is best known for his antler carvings. We're really happy to see him adding stone to his carving materials repetoire. Derrick is the nephew of of Maxx & Pernell Laate (d.) and related by marriage to several other carving families.

Frogs are representative of water and all its life giving properties. Couples wishing to have a baby sometimes put a frog on their nightstand!
