I'm a real stickler for traditional animals .. or at least animals that appear on this continent. Maybe I am a bit snobby in that respect .. because who can resist THIS GUY?? Yes, he's from "down under" and no, not many Zuni's have ever seen one live but they all have the Discover channel, don't they? Hudson Sandy is quickly becoming one of our favorite carvers. A new member of the Cheama family, he's definitely a quick study in precision and execution. But you can't teach creativity .. and Hudson is surely talented in that department!
This adorable Koala bear is not petite .. it weighs a full quarter of a lb. Made from pale brown Picasso marble, all the features of the Koala are etched with beautiful detail. From the 'ruffly' ears to the inlaid eyes of turquoise and that gorgeous nose of jet, he's pure marsupial perfection! Thanks, Hudson, for making us all smile! Now which one of you lucky people is going to take him home? Signed.
