Not a well loved creature by most .. but carved fairly frequently by the Zuni artisans. Michael Coble has carved this spider resting on his 'web' from Picasso marble that is nearly black in color. The body of the spider is precise but cleanly carved and left in a matte finish as is Michael's style. He's inlaid turquoise eyes but they look very friendly. I'm sure that this is just one of those nice spiders that helps keep your garden free of pests .. yeah. That's what he is . Nice spider. Signed.
