This is another newer stone to the carving community of Zuni, again, probably debuted at the Tucson Show last January-February. It is a stabilized turquoise with a white matrix which gives it a unique contrast in color. The head of the hummingbird is carved from apple coral and the beak is penshell. The eyes are inlaid of Sleeping Beauty turquoise.


Edison Bobelu, Jr is the grandson of Saul Yuselew (d.) and family members include brother Bryson Bobelu, Ricky Vacit, Jr. and Clive and Travis Lasloo.


The overall presentation of this little guy is really cute. It is too fragile for a pocket fetish but will look stunning as a specimen in YOUR fetish cabinet! Initialled "EB" on the bottom.
