Travis Nieto is a carver we met early on in our travels to Zuni. He took us home to introduce us to his mom, wife & children. Eventually we met his brother and Dad, who are also carvers. We've lost touch with Travis but we are so happy to see that he still carving!

This powerful owl with dramatic features is carved from No. 8 turquoise. The details of feathers and anatomy are deeply etched. Really a nice piece from one of our long-lost friends in Zuni. (Travis .. call us!) Signed.
