Though Gale is best known for his tagua nut buffalo, we also have the priviledge of enjoying them in jet, turquoise and Picasso marble (just a few of the variety we've seen.) The difference is, his tagua buffs are round and sound and his stone guys are upright and lean. We love them all.

This beautiful fellow is made of jet. Jet is fossilized coal. It feels very lightweight in your hand and is soft in terms of carving. Gale has inlaid the eyes and horns of this bison in turquoise. It's a stunning combination - like your best black dress with a turquoise beaded necklace. (Girls will get this .. guys, you just have to trust me.)
