This piece comes to us from a consigned collection. It was purchased in 2004 originally from Mesa's Edge in Taos Ski Valley. There are no markings to identify the carver and the collector who owns it also did not know. We highly suspect that it's by Lavies and Daisy Natewa and if so, it's unusual that they didn't sign the piece on the bottom.

The rabbit has very fluid lines and etched facial features and claws. The eyes are inlaid of blue. This particular specimen of Picasso is mostly black with some broad banding of grey and a cute little brown bunny rump.
